Sherica J Mohammed Cumberbatch was admitted to practise law in Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago in 1995 having successfully completed the certificate of legal education at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and joined the Firm in 1997. She became a Partner of the Firm in 2005.

Mrs. Mohammed Cumberbatch holds a Bachelor of Laws degree with Second Class Honours, and a Masters Degree in Corporate & Commercial Law (2010) from the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill in Barbados. Her Masters' Thesis, "W(h)ither Trade Union Law" which was completed prior to the passing of the Employment Rights Act, examined the impact of the Draft Employment Rights Bill (if enacted) on the Law and Development of Collective Bargaining Units. She has also tutored and taught Business Law at the University of the West Indies. She was awarded the Executive Diploma in Human Resources Management in 2014.

Mrs Mohammed Cumberbatch is currently on the roster of Court-Annexed Mediators and has completed the Accelerated Route to Membership and Accelerated Route to Fellowship International Arbitration Programme with Award Writing (CIArb.). She has been a director of the ADR Association of Barbados Inc., and a member of the Disciplinary Committee and Executive Council of the Barbados Bar Association in the past.

Mrs. Mohammed Cumberbatch is a licensed Patent Agent and currently manages the Firm's Litigation Department. She has advised on legal and regulatory issues arising in aviation (amalgamation of airlines, and new regulations), bankruptcy & insolvency (acting for secured creditors), telecommunications (amalgamation & liberalisation of sector), employment, media (print/radio/television - defamation, consumer services regulation), elections law (advising the regulator - Electoral & Boundaries Commission), environmental law (Basel Convention for Hazardous Waste, Support Studies for the Upgrade & Expansion of the Natural Gas Network), international financial services (advising the regulator – Central Bank of Barbados), central & commercial banking (legislation, securitisation and enforcement),  medical negligence (advising indemnifier for medical practitioners and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital), electricity (monopoly service provider, regulatory, and general business), credit union cooperatives (advised umbrella organisation on statutory & regulatory framework), statutory & regulatory framework (hotels), the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus (Statutes & Ordinances, departmental/faculty policies & initiatives, academic & non-academic staff & student disciplinary matters, contracts), patents & intellectual property (regulatory, passing off, breaches of common & statutory framework), pensions (review, amendment, compliance under the former regulatory regime and the current Occupational Pensions Benefit Act), and contracts.
